Daniel Wardrop

Challenge Tour and Europro Tour Professional Golfer

After a bright amateur career, having played for England at Boys, Youths and Full International level, Daniel turned professional in late 2003 with a handicap of 3+. Steady progress saw Daniel’s first win at the Vulcan Trophy in 2005, a PGA North Region Event, at the famous Lindrick Golf Club.

In 2007 Daniel won on the Europro Tour at the De Vere Masters at Oulton Hall and subsequently finished in 5th place in the Europro Tour Order of Merit, which secured him a European Challenge Tour Card for the following season.

A full 2008 season on the Challenge Tour resulted in Daniel’s best finish on the the full European Tour at the Australian Masters in Melbourne where he finished 25th.

The following year produced the highlight of Daniel’s career so fas when he qualified for The Open Championship at Turnberry. During a week of many fantastic experiences Daniel played with a number of major champions including Greg Norman, John Daly, Zach Johnson and Stuart Cink who went on to win The Open that year.

In the winter of 2010 Daniel had to have the necessary surgery on his foot; the injury having impacted on his game for the previous two seasons. The operation caused a late start in 2011 as he had to build back up to full fitness.

He did, however secure another win, late in the year, in the Isle of Man at the PGA Manx Classic and went on to a top ten finish in the Europro Tour Championship in Spain.
